Champions League: Como thrash Man United as Rice rescues Arsenal in Munich

Como beat Manchester United 4-1, Declan Rice earned Arsenal a 2-2 draw at Bayern, Real Madrid beat Leipzig 4-1 and Aston Villa made it three wins from three.

Thirty-four goals, and only one English side won. Wednesday night in the Champions League brought a draw for Arsenal in Munich, another win for Aston Villa and a heavy defeat for Manchester United at Como.

Arsenal left the Allianz Arena with a 2-2 draw. Eberechi Eze, on for the injured Bukayo Saka, put them ahead on 25 minutes. Alphonso Davies equalised ten minutes later from a Harry Kane through ball, and Kane put Bayern in front from the spot on 61 after the ball hit Jurriën Timber's arm. Declan Rice levelled on 82 minutes. Arsenal have seven points and Bayern, without the suspended Michael Olise and Joshua Kimmich, have five. Mikel Arteta's biggest worry afterwards was Saka's quad injury.

Real Madrid made it three wins from three by beating Leipzig 4-1 at the Bernabéu. Bernardo Silva and Arda Güler scored either side of half-time, and Kylian Mbappé and former Leipzig player Yan Diomande added late goals. That's 12 for the season for Mbappé. Tidiam Gomis scored for Leipzig.

Manchester United were well beaten at Como. Nico Paz scored after two minutes and again early in the second half, with Anastasios Douvikas and Jacobo Ramón also on target. Joshua Zirkzee's stoppage-time goal was all United had to show for it. Cesc Fàbregas's side now have six points.

Aston Villa are three from three. Ross Barkley opened the scoring, Emiliano Buendía added a penalty and Henrik Heggheim turned the ball into his own net early in the second half. Peter Christiansen scored late for Viking, but Villa move up to second.

Elsewhere, Galatasaray won 4-2 at Lille, Club Brugge beat Lens 3-0, Inter beat Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0, Real Betis beat Feyenoord 1-0 and LASK won 3-2 at Sporting CP.
